Mamografide Mikrokalsifikasyonlar (MİK) Saptandı, Önemli midir?
Mamografide saptanan mikrokalsifikasyonlar (MİK) meme dokusundaki küçük kireçlenmiş alanlardır. Mikrokalsifikasyonlar hem kanser hemde iyi huylu durumlarda görülebilir. Bununla birlikte meme kanserinde özellikle erken dönemde görülebileceği için dikkatle incelemek gerekir. Mamografinin çok erken tanı kabiliyeti aslında bu mikrokalsifikasyonların saptanması sayesindedir. Kistik yapılarda da mikrokalsifikasyonlar olabilir. Kistler çok sık görülen yapılar olduğundan mikrokalsifikasyonların iyi huylu olma olasılığı daha fazladır.
Mikrokalsifikasyonların kümelenmesi ve çevre dokularda çekme benzeri etkiler göstermesi halinde kanser riski artar. Risk durumuna göre kısa süreli mamografiler ile takip edilebilir yada şüphe halinde net değerlendirme için biyopsi yapılabilir. Biyopsi durumunda hastalık henüz çok erken safhada olduğu için genellikle ele gelen bir kitle olmaz. Bu yüzden direk olarak şüpheli alanın çıkarılabilmesi çok mümkün olamamaktadır. Bu yüzden öncelikle şüpheli bölge mamografi cihazı eşliğinde kılavuz tel ile işaretlenir, sonra kılavuz tel takip edilerek şüpheli alan ameliyat ile çıkarılır.
